Our Start
Above and Beyond Care has been providing Supported Living Services since 2017.
We provide services in individuals' homes throughout Tulare, Kings, and Fresno County.
We provide services individually catered to meet our client's needs.
Above and Beyond Care follows The Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act and California Code of Regulations: Title 17.
Individuals Served
The individuals we serve are those individuals recognized by Central Valley Regional Center as having an intellectual disability, are in need of supportive assistance to live on their own and have been approved to receive services through the Supported Living Services program as administered through the Central Valley Regional Center.
The Central Valley Regional Center is the organization which bridges the working relationship between the consumer and Above and Beyond Care.

Above and Beyond Care is dedicated to improving the quality of life of those we serve through a program that supports one's individuality and decision making, emphasizes personal goal attainment, supports self-confidence, self-worth, and independence.
We hold safety as a paramount concern for those we serve and will ensure that every person we serve feels a sense of safety in their home.
In addition, we expect to provide not only sustenance for our staff and their families but also an opportunity to do their part in making a difference in the world around them, through caring and expert assistance to our community's most vulnerable members.

Care and affection is the foundation of giving sincere aid and assistance to others. In other words, giving kind, warm attention with sincere concern for others is what can be expected from Above and Beyond Care.

The right to be treated fairly is an expectation that everyone rightfully has. As part of our Core Values, Above and Beyond Care will ensure every person is treated fairly, respectfully, and with dignity.

Above and Beyond Care places the consumer at the center care planning. With this in mind, we work as a team with the consumer, collaborating with others as is necessary. We will always maintain a friendly, enjoyable working environment and working relationships with all.

From time to time, there will be situations that require special attention and possibly need extra thought. These are the times that our resourcefulness, knowledge, skills, and thoughtfulness will culminate into an innovative and creative solution to a situation. Goals and Outcomes
The goals of Above and Beyond Care can be summed up quite simply: We want each consumer we serve to be successful at reaching their goals! Everyone has goals; some very generalized, yet important, that applies to everyone, and others that are very specific to an individual.
The more generalized goals that apply to everyone would include:
Health and Safety are very basic needs that everyone should expect to have in their lives. In our effort to meet this goal Above and Beyond Care will:
• Assist the consumer in selecting nutritious, well-balanced meals and healthy snacks of the consumers choice
• Assist in the maintenance of regular medical appointments as needed in addition to assisting in safe and accurate medication administration as prescribed
• Assist in excellent personal hygiene
• Assist and ensure the consumer is safe in his/her home by eliminating safety hazards in and around the home, in addition to having adequate safety features (smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, safety locks on all doors/windows, fire extinguisher, emergency plan, etc.)
• Reliable, competent staff on duty 24/7
Happiness is another concept that everyone hopes to have in their lives. While bringing about happiness is very individualized, Above and Beyond Care will incorporate activities and/or environmental modifications to help in bringing about joy and pleasures.
Examples would be:
• Decorating the consumers home in the manner in which he/she desires
• Home activities such as games, movies, baking, gardening, and crafts.
• Community activities such as park outings, dining out, street fairs, movie theatre, community plays, community classes, etc.
• Promote healthy relationships with others
Independence, in as much as possible and based on each individual's abilities, is each consumer's goal. It will be Above and Beyond Care's mission to aid in each consumer's path to independence by:
• Above and Beyond Care will assist clients to learn banking, manage credit, budget income/bills, balance their checkbook; learn to write/cash/deposit checks, etc.
• Meal planning and preparation, hygiene, routine household chores (laundry, dishwashing, etc.), and other activities of daily living to name a few.
• Educate and assist the consumer in accessing community resources
• Teach consumers how to utilize public transportation
• Teach and model self-advocacy as a very important quality needed in today's society
The more specific goals are those goals that are personalized to a specific consumer. All goals and goal planning are consumer directed; therefore, these more personalized goals will vary from person to person. Examples of these more personalized, client directed goals are:
• Obtaining Employment
• Successfully completing community or college course
• Participating in a community-based organization or activity
• Maintaining healthy relationships
• Creating and adhering to a household budget
• Health-related goals
• Saving money for a larger purchase
The goals of Above and Beyond Care are always consumer directed, therefore, the consumers' goals are our goals.
When our consumers are successful, Above and Beyond Care is successful.
